Read the instructions below to learn how you can be a part of the festival staff and earn some community service hours!

Please complete the ONLINE form above if you are interested in volunteering for the Capital Region Musicfest.
Concert Band Division - Wed February 21 - Sat February 24, 2024
Jazz Division - Fri March 1 - Sat March 2, 2024
Choral Division - Fri March 22 - Sat March 23, 2024
You are able to receive community service hours for your volunteer shifts.
Forms can be obtained from your school's Student Services Office.
Student volunteer shifts include the following responsibilities:
Stage Crew - Helping set-up between performing groups; this is good physical work that involves setting up chairs and stands
Performer Guide - Welcoming and Leading performing groups through each part of the festival. This requires good, clear communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
Registration Desk - Welcoming face to Public and Participants; Helping Festival Staff with administration at the front desk; being a runner between the adjudication secretary and registration staff; answering general questions from families and participants
Admission - Welcoming audience members and collecting admission at the front doors
Equipment Room - Providing support to groups as they arrive, keeping the waiting area organized and quiet
As a MusicFest Volunteer, please understand that
All available positions are of a volunteer nature and committment to a shift is essential.
Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the festival location, including all transportation expenses.
While on duty, meals will be provided if you are working two shifts in a row.
Snacks will be provided once a shift.
