The Teachers’ Professional Development Program offers the opportunity for local music teachers to shadow an adjudicator for a day. 

What to expect: 

• Choose from sessions relating to Concert Band and/or Jazz Band and/or Choral

• Observe performances from various school and community ensembles

• Attend clinics with your assigned adjudicator, observing them working with specific groups

• Obtain insights into what adjudicators listen for in performances while engaging in rich discussion with the assigned adjudicator

• Gain valuable knowledge regarding festival etiquette and operations

Register Online:

Teachers wanting to take part in this program during the school day must first consult with their principal regarding obtaining release time to attend this professional development opportunity. We will do our best to accommodate all interested participants.  If we are unable to do so due to large numbers of interested members, priority will be given in order of registration date through the form below.

The dates of the 2027 festival are: 

• Concert Band:  Earl of March - Feb. 23 - 27

• Jazz: LDHSS - March 5 - 6

• Choral: Fisher - Apr. 2 - 3
