Teachers’ Professional Development Program 2025

This free program offers the opportunity for music teachers participating in the festival to shadow an adjudicator for a day. We have had excellent feedback from those who have participated in previous years. This is a unique professional development opportunity available for teachers of all levels of teaching experience.

What to expect:

Choose from sessions relating to Concert Band and/or Jazz Band; Choral PD sessions will not be offered this year
Observe performances from various school and community ensembles
Attend clinics with your assigned adjudicator, observing them working with specific groups
Obtain insights into what adjudicators listen for in performances while engaging in rich discussion with the assigned adjudicator
Gain valuable knowledge regarding festival etiquette and operations

Teachers wanting to take part in this program during the school day must first consult with their principal regarding obtaining release time to attend this professional development opportunity. We will do our best to accommodate all interested participants. If we are unable to do so due to large numbers of interested members, priority will be given in order of registration date through the form below.
